Nicholas Jemo, a native of Rhode Island, graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Rhode Island. In 2008 he received his Master of Music degree in Orchestral Performance from the Manhattan School of Music where he was the recipient of the prestigious Cecil Collins Award for excellence in brass performance. Mr. Jemo holds a position in the orchestra for The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway and has also played on the Broadway productions of Les Misérables, Evita, and Mary Poppins. He performs with the New York Philharmonic to audiences in the US and abroad and has played with the Metropolitan Opera, the Mariinsky Orchestra, and the Rhode Island Philharmonic.
In 2016 he performed on the PBS special Live from Lincoln Center: Lang Lang’s New York Rhapsody where he played alongside Lang Lang, Rufus Wainwright and Regina Spektor, among others. Nicholas can also be heard on the first two seasons of the HBO series The Succession.
As a music educator, Mr. Jemo teaches privately and has taught at Manhattan School of Music Precollege and Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts.
