A graduate of Luther College (B.A. Music/Theatre) and Western Michigan University (M.M. Vocal Performance) Lynne Rothrock is a vocalist, entertainer and arts educator. She has performed as a concert artist at a variety of venues around the United States, including Birdland (NYC), The Bluebird Café (Nashville), Davenports Cabaret (Chicago) and The Dakota (Minneapolis). Lynne is on the faculty of Michael Feinstein’s Great American Songbook Academy and was one of 30 vocalists chosen to attend the International Cabaret Conference at Yale University. An active arts educator, she has served on the music faculty of Western Michigan University, Roosevelt University, Coe College, St. Ambrose University and currently teaches musical theatre at Luther College. Lynne has been a clinician/adjudicator at the Manhattan Vocal Jazz and Showchoir Festival, Brightleaf Music Workshops, Showchoir Camps of America, Heart of America and has worked with choirs from all around the country through 25 years of adjudicating with Heritage Music Festivals. In January 2019, Lynne conducted an honor choir in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Her most recent project is Songbirth Performance Workshops, an enterprise designed to offer educational and performance opportunities to singers interested in developing interpretation and presentation skills. Lynne is based in Cedar Rapids, IA.
